To The Pointe School of Ballet

Karen Butler trained at UCT School of Ballet under the guidance of Dianne Cheesman, Kim Day and Vincent Hantam. She then went on to do her BMUS Degree in dance at UCT, as well as achieving her Aerobics and Personal Fitness trainer certificates. She also dance with Cape Town City  Ballet in ballet s such as Nutcracker, Zhivago, Swan Lake, Christmas Carol, Giselle and Romeo and Juliet. Before opening her own studio she taught alongside Dianne Cheesman at UCT School of Ballet and Kim Day at Reddam Academy of Dance. She has been running her own studio for 13 years.

Her studio participates in Eisteddfods, Royal Academy of Dance exams,  and performs in various productions.
