Our authentic Montessori community is a homely and nurturing environment, designed to meet the developmental needs of children 18 months until approximately 6 years of age. We provide a complete Montessori programme which considers the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of the whole child.
Our beautifully prepared environment will foster your child’s natural curiosity and sense of independence. We celebrate the individuality of children and will therefore encourage them to make their own choices and work at their own pace. In our environment the children have the freedom to choose from a range activities. These activities assist in the development of motor skills, language development, refining of the senses, aids cognitive development and also builds concentration, independence, confidence and social skills.
We want to make learning an enjoyable, fun and rewarding experience. When a child feels safe, secure, included and happy, their minds are like absorbent sponges.
We also offer music and movement during our fun group times with a wonderful array of musical instruments and props.
Infant community (toddler classes 18months to 3 years)
The toddlers meet in their nurturing, home away from home environment on Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 12h00 during term time. You have the option of choosing four or five days per week.
Preschool community (3-6 years)
The pre-schoolers meet on Mondays to Fridays from 07h45 until 12h30 during term time.
We also offer an aftercare programme until 17h00 from Monday to Friday.
Weekly Montessori Playgroup
Our infants & mothers meet once a week during term time for our Montessori playgroup. The playgroup is an introduction to Montessori for infants and their mothers. A calm environment with purposeful activities designed to meet the needs of babies from sitting/crawling to 18 months, woven together beautifully with music and song. It is a wonderful introduction to the environment and makes for a much gentler transition into our infant community (daily toddler class). The classes give your children the opportunity to get to know the teachers and also become familiar with the environment.
“Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future.” ~ Maria Montessori ~
